The Have a Ball Foundation assisted kids at the Wire Soccer Academy in Sept 2014 by having the an organisation ‘Alive and Kicking’ hand make soccer balls for the kids out at Oyugis in Kenya. The Alive and kicking organization are the only formal manufacturer of sports balls on the African continent. They create sustainable employment in the manufacture of sports balls ensuring that disadvantaged children have access to balls that are suitable for the conditions and use sport to raise health awareness in sub-Saharan Africa.
The hand made balls are made of African leather, which makes it twice as resistant to puncture as the most robust synthetic ball on the market. The balls are usually distributed to a school, orphanage, or youth project, providing children with a chance to play with a real ball, often for the first time.

The Wire Soccer Academy is a non profitable organisation that helps youths to improve their soccer talents. Volunteers from various communities come together with the commitment to see life change for the impoverished and underprivileged orphans, children and families of Kenya.

Thank you to Simon Kokelo for making contact with us so we can assist these kids in need.
