In June 2013, the Have a Ball Foundation was able to assist the Police Citizens Youth Club in a remote aboriginal community called Wujal Wujal just south of Cooktown by supplying the kids with a mized bag of sporting balls.
We were also able to assist the Hopevale Primary School north of Cooktown which is an indigenous school of approx 120 kids. It was wonderful to meet the staff and kids at the school and were kind enough to have us present the balls to their school captains at their morning assembly and show us around their classes for the morning. It was a great experience and would especially like to thank Glenn White for accomodating us for the visit and showing us around and we hope to be able to continue to work with the school to assist them with some items of need for their kids.
