During the week of August 12, 2013, Cheltenham East Primary School kindly collecting 56 sports balls to donate to the Have a Ball Foundation where they will be distributed to a youth club out at Docker River (Kaltukatjara) which is an extremely remote Indigenous community in the Northern Territory of Australia, near the Western Australia and Northern Territory border (west of Uluru). The kids there will be thrilled with their new equipment as they have just re-opened their youth club after electical damage shut it down for 12 months and they were in need of some equipment to start the club up again. It will bring some big smiles to the faces of the 120 indigenous kids who attend there where they can participate in healthy sporting activities within their community.
Special thanks to Sue Crafti and the Junior School Councillors for organising the event and for the staff and all the students at Cheltenham East Primary School for supporting the foundation.
